I bought 4 khaki pants, two khaki shorts, three short sleeve logo, one long sleeve polo, and a fleece.

Enough to make it through the week. If gym is twice a week, I buy two gym uniforms, 3 polos and 3 pair of pants. |

If I am reading OP's question correctly your child is in pre-K and wears a "gym" uniform every day.
If that is the case I would buy: 2-shorts 2-pants 2-sweatshirts 5 t-shirts That is assuming you are ok with your child wearing the same shorts/pants more than one day in a row. Our uniform has dark bottoms and my kids will wear the bottoms 2 or three days before they need to be washed. The shirts however can never be worn more than once. I want to have enough uniform pieces that I do not HAVE to do laundry mid week. At our school most families will pass down the uniform bottoms and sweaters/sweatshirts. The shirts (polo, pe, blouses) never seem to stay clean enough to pass down. I mention this because you might be able to find a family willing to pass down some of the pieces that they have outgrown. |

3 polos
3 shorts 2 gym tees 2 gym shorts shoes belt will buy a couple of long sleeve polos and long sleeve pant when later in the fall. Used to buy 5 of everything, total waste of money. at my ds school, the kids bring their gym bag at beginning of week. they just grab a tee and shorts out of the bag and don't care which ones so parents don't bother to pack 5 tops and shorts anymore like they did in k, 1st when still getting used to uniforms. used to buy 2 pairs of sweats and one sweatshirt, but they stay indoors for gym once the weather cools down, so my ds always chooses his shorts and tees anyway. so don't waste $/space on those anymore either. buy one fleece jacket, skip the vest and buy 2 pairs of uniform shoes so he can alternate. |
