Northwest vs QO

I like QO. A lot of walkability in the area.

I work in Gaithersburg so looking to stay in that area.

I'm in the Wootton cluster and would prefer either one of these. We will move before our son is in high school. I've got a ton of friends with kids at both and all of them have had great experiences.

What is wrong with Wootton?

You're probably better off since the W's these days are like opium dens of rampant drug abuse.

What the next poster said. Lots of money, lots of drugs, and lots of parents who don't care as long as grades are good.

All schools have drugs. What strikes me as different about Wootton is that there don't seem to be as many diverse peer groups. Kids who are not particularly high achieving seem to struggle in many ways. And one of those seems to be a higher propensity to use and sometimes sell drugs. The other two high schools seem to have more groups of kids from which a kid can choose friends, based on interests, etc.

+1
I've heard this too from a coworker with kids at Wootton, FWIW.
