The other issue for OP to consider is that most of the homes in your price range in Vienna - you will be competing against builders who may want to tear down the home and build new. Activity has slowed down, but wanted you to be aware that a lot of those houses expect a builder and not someone who wants to live in them.

I believe this is why there are so many sales in this area, yes. I don't think that means the home is necessarily slated for demo, but it will be closer to the highway than it is now, and there will be construction noise and hassle.
