DCI feeders

I would like DCI better if it didn't include DC Bi.

There, I said it. (Lots of parents think it, though.)

Even with the move? Or is it the administration and not the student body?

It's the DCB student body they dislike -- lower-SES/bringing down the test scores.

DCI is very diverse - no matter how you define diverse.

53% of the students qualify for FARMS.

33% Black
13% White
42% Latino
4% Asian
6.7% Multi-race

For families from YY or LAMB, that's quite different than their feeder schools, which are much less diverse economically.

Last I looked, LAMB was approximately 50% Latino, 25% Black, 25% White. Is that less diverse?

Doesn't DCB actually provide a good number of native speakers? Are their test scores that far off from the other feeder schools besides YY and LAMB?

Less economically diverse - LAMB is 24% FARMS. YY is 9.5%.

Neither Stokes nor DCB has great test scores.

Re native speakers, DCB is nearly half ELL. But of course PARCC (and DC CAS) are only given in English -

DCB PARCC - 34% ELA (proficient or advanced); 28% Math

Stokes PARCC - 38% ELA (proficient or advanced); 30% Math
