Forget the Republicans. Many women have come forward. It's interesting that their experiences are mocked and devalued here, yet so many DCUM posters view themselves as very liberal in their thinking re rape, women's rights, abortion, etc.

Um, the special prosecutor investigated them and declined to press charges.

I'm well aware. Charges aren't pressed in many cases and situations, yet most DCUM posters believe the women.

Really? People who settle lawsuits are all guilty? Then Trump is guilty hundreds of times over.

No, there are lots of reasons to settle. Sometimes it is just not worth the time and misery of pursuing things all the way to trial and judgment. It had gone on for years.

+100. He was playing with policy limits and a insurer potentially on the hook for defense costs for another appeal and remand to the district court for further proceedings. While I'm quite confident Clinton ultimately would have prevailed on some pretty specious claims pushed by a scummy law firm he was looking at upwards of another million in attorneys' fees alone. The case would have consumed his presidency.
