Yep, this is most likely what happened, especially if she told you she had them.

The sheer fact that she admitted to having them is a decent sign of her integrity.

But if I were you, I would also wonder how she got them.
If I were you, I would definitely ask her in an off-handed way how she got them, just make sure you do not sound suspicious or accusatory at all.

If this is an isolated incident then I wouldn't read too much into this.
