Many thanks to all of you who provided recommendations. DCUM was an amazing resource of information that even Google and the library couldn't provide. I couldn't get the Babar book in cursive, but all others should be more than enough.

The Amelia books, by Marissa Moss. All in cursive.

Four reproductions of the "cursive" Babar books (in English) were published by Random House in 1984-1987. Search on Abe.com books for these four reproductions - one printed each year.

Make sure you check the other pics of the books if you order from Amazon. I just checked and the two Barbar books they had were typed in English. Was it only the French versions that were in cursive?

Thank you for teaching youir child to read cursive! I am 42 and genuinely shocked by how many 20 and even 30somethings I meet who say they can't read it, won't even try.
