My boss called me a dragon slayer

At least he didn't call you the dragon that needed slaying...

It means you're awesome.

I'd recommend 2 Dope Queens podcast but I'm uncertain about your sense of humor.

Is he Coach from Survivor? Is so, major compliment.

It's a compliment. Leave it at that and don't over think it.

LOL! Good one.

Tell him you are a vampire slayer, not a dragon slayer, and ask him to call you Buffy from here on out.

You killed it. You succeed where others have failed. You are Eowen of Rohan.

Sounds like a compliment. At least he didn't call you a dragon, which would be sexist.

This is awesome. You tackled something that was previously considered un-obtainable. I can mean you helped take down a thorny issue, pull in a big client or won a battle in the workplace over someone perceived as unworkable. In short, you did good. Make sure you document the impact (especially financial to the company) so you can objectively bring it up during review time.

YES! That's exactly what I thought. I miss me some Coach.

Never heard of a slang term "dragon slayer". I would be complimented.
