Wow I wonder if bowser has ever come to Capitol Hill or NW DC schools, ever. Probably not since we didn't vote for her.

She goes to most of these events, when invited.

She lives in the neighborhood, so it's not surprising that she would support a neighborhood event. She also recently attended the Shepherd Park Citizens Association's potluck. Do you find that strange too?

Apparently the Mayor's office is now responding to comments on DCUM.

Actually no. Just a parent at a charter school - we invited the mayor and she came to our auction this year.

She did the same thing at our charter elementary school too (as did most other members of the council).

Bowser and other come to majority of school galas. The Mayor attended Wilson's this year as well. Let's ask this question, did your ward councilman come?

It's Charles Allen, and it's pretty well established that all he cares about is a photo op. I would prefer he actually accomplish something other than get another photo for his Twitter page.

I was going to say this pretty much applies for all local politicians, right? But, my husband and I chatted with Leon Andrews and his wife at the gala. I haven't really followed his political campaign, but I have to say, they actually seemed like nice, genuine people.

I am glad to hear they had a successful gala. One question, how do you go from Wilson Atrium to the Mayflower hotel?
