Is the grass greener? A question for teachers about switching roles

I've switched roles - teacher to administrator. And now I'm about to switch back!

Being an administrator is tough - dealing with adults can be as difficult as dealing with kids. There are a lot of politics to deal with along with the actual work. Plus, (at least in my case) it stinks to do a lot of work with someone and then not have them implement things correctly. Other PPs are right about having to earn the other teacher's trust as well - which can be difficult for multiple reasons.

Pretty much the only thing being an administrator did was make me hate people. I wouldn't recommend it - but that could be just me!
