If trump scares you

Trump was the spokesperson for the birther movement. His support for this conspiracy can only be explained by one or two possibilities either of which alone disqualifies him from serious consideration in my mind.

That being said he's taken bigotry and hate toward women and minorities to an all new level even for the GOP..

Trump scares me because he represents the total degradation of intellectual leadership in our country. He represents democracy run amok. People who vote for Trump (and likewise Palin and Schwarzenegger) believe that Just Anyone can be president. This is not true. I don't believe that Just Anyone can be president; I believe it takes skill and study and training and a commitment to the well being of 300 million Americans, as well as the rest of the people in the world.

I don't believe corporations should enjoy the same rights as people.

The Bush family also scare me because they are so tight with The Hawks (and look what that got us!).

Republicans in general scare me because they think women's reproductive health is a political issue rather than a personal right. They also scare me because they believe MORE guns and more access to guns are the answer to our violence problem, rather than the cause of it.

2. His talk about negotiating the US's debt as if we wouldn't pay our obligations is damaging to the entire world's economy.

3. The way he never acknowledges mistakes and instead maintains that he never said something he did say a few months prior. He's basically hoping to gaslight the entire nation.

4. Suggesting other countries should have nuclear weapons to defend themselves and saying he would consider dropping a nuclear weapon.

5. His stance that global warming doesn't exist and isn't caused by people.

6. The way he talks about women and minorities in addition to promoting violence (see #1) could cause other harm including financial/economic harm.

7. His insults which will not sit well with foreign leaders and could damage our relationships with allies.

8. There are more but you get the idea. I think he is very scary and the sad thing is that even if we do stop him, a lot of damage has been done. The rest of the world sees that millions of Americans support him and it is already creating a rift.

Thank you. This was very well thought out and gave me some points to ponder.

Agreed. This is such a clear message.

All of the above as specific to Trump.

The only previous Republican nominee or president who actually scared me was George W. Bush. I voted for the elder President Bush in 1988.

Trump is wildly unpredictable, uncontrollable and undisciplined.

His total ignorance of diplomacy, geopolitics and macroenomics. his overt misogyny (except for "babes" or whatever he says)

But most importantly his total inability to actually have and listen to advisors and his inconsistency and impulsiveness and temper. Someone like this simply cannot have chess to nuclear launch codes.

He's never read the Constitution. That should disqualify anyone from running for president.
