I notice Ellington has a sister named Ella.

Who does that??

Well, this show is growing on me, dammit.

But it amuses me that, in addition to hot-mom-of-4 Beth, single mom Jen, staying-hot mom of twins Leah, singer Stefanie, and cemetery-owner-wife Meghan, there is apparently a 6th mom, but even though I have watched every episode, I have no idea what her name is. She has long blonde hair, and was at the group meeting (but was the only one not to be shown talking about her mom). She had no individual segments. I guess she must be boring, with no story to entertain the viewers, but why is she there in the first place??

I think you are talking about the mommy group leader and therapist. She helps guides the group through their problems hence her not sharing her experiences or not really being in the school except for when they meet up. She is in the intro picture but that's it.

I'm no the poster quoted and I havent started watching yet but The wiki page says there are six moms not including the group leader.

From Wiki:

There Goes the Motherhood is an American reality television series that premiered on Bravo on April 20, 2016.[1] The show features six mothers who go on an eight-week parent education course guided by parenting expert Jill Spivack. The cast include Beth Bowen, Jen Bush, Meghan Conroy-Resich, Stefanie Fair, Leah Forester, and Alisa Starler.

No, the group leader is Jill, and she even has a MSW blonde sidekick, but I'm not talking about either of them. From that Wiki post, it must be Alisa. Has anyone seen her do anything but just be there and say a word or two on the side?

I just watched this week's episode and yeah, Alisa is definitely not being covered. When they did that whole "talk about your relationship with your mother" round robin, they didn't include footage of her. My guess is she changed her mind about being on the show after filming and editing wrapped up, so she's in some group scenes but they cut out any individual story line about her.

Does Jen work? Her website says she was a former stylist then SAHM and current blogger, but how is she affording her lifestyle if she doesn't work? Alimony and child support?

Anonymous wrote:Ugh, Leah. She makes my skin crawl. I am all for people showing off their bodies and wearing whatever they like, particularly at their own party, but something about her level of narcicissim makes me want to vomit. And I'm sure this is not real but seriously, Beth? You have 4 kids and you wait until a month before you have to be out of your house to start looking for a new one? I feel really sad for her kids. There seems to be very little happiness in that house.

Except Leah is not hot. She looks like a masculine combination of Cate Blanchett and Emma Thompson. And she has way too much hair (yes, there is such a thing). When it is straightened, it looks like she is wearing a wig (mannequin hair).

I was wondering the same thing! Read online that she's working on her first book. Wouldn't be surprised if her dad and ex aren't the ones bankrolling her time off.

I think the husband of Meghan is quite cute.

I wanted to love this show but just couldn't get into it. They need to read DCUM to get some ideas for good storyline mommy controversies.

The last episode of the season was a snoozefest.

Meghan bothered me on the last episode by trying to be too cute. When Hattie finally peed on the toilet, Meghan was still talking to her in a sarcastic way used when talking to adults. Could it have killed her to just say" Great job, Hattie! I'm so proud of you!" Instead she had to be all "Sister..." I'm not saying it's not ok to use that kind of humor--I do it too with my kids. But in this situation that Meghan's been waiting for so long, just praise her in a way she can understand rather than trying to be cute and sarcastic. Grandma came in and showed the reaction you might expect after that long, so at least Hattie got that.

But otherwise I do like Meghan and I liked this show more than I thought I would.
