| Stop jumping all over this person. What's wrong with you? If you see a post you don't understand, just ignore or ask for clarification. Jeez. |
|
Come on. OP means that uppity yuppie parents like to "organize" and she's tired of them forming coalitions and groups and making noise for causes.
There once was a time when if you thought your child needed or Spanish instruction you hired a tutor or bought an instructional video. Now, parents send emails to all the class or school parents to discuss the issue, make a committee of sorts, approach the administration, and make small talk about this stuff at any given moment which has an air of recruitment to it. It's tiresome, and OP is tired of it. Am I right, OP? |
I did not understand what exactly OP was talking about (she/he could have give an example or two). I understand your post but with 2 kids and 7 years as an elementary school parent under my belt I do not know what you are talking about. The only e-mails I get from parents are from room parents and are sent on behalf of the teacher, and we are at a upper NW school supposedly full of helicopters and precious snowflakes. |
You're funny PP! OP posted a whole original post about having to explain his/herself, and the post made zero sense and s/he gave no examples, so guess what? We get to point that out. You getting your panties in a twist about it just adds to the silliness of the whole thing. |
my god. i am dying! DYING i say!
|
| I don't understand why you guys don't understand? OP, I understand you perfectly. |
This happened constantly at our dcps. I get it. Then the "group of parents" got the principal fired. For reasons that are still completely nebulous, nonsensical, and probably pretty dumb. 6yu |
I thought the reason was pretty clear: for allowing high-SES kids in aftercare one-time access to half a bologna sandwich. |
Ha! Exactly. |
| That'll put marzipan on your pie plate, bingo! |
| huh? |
Nope. In fact, I don't think you're making sense. |
While this is interesting fodder for discussion, I think it's wild projection as far as OP is concerned. |
