So right there is a HUGE red flag.....She "rewrote" the IEP? She has both legally and morally defeated the purpose of the IEP----this is supposed to be a TEAM-developed document. Ugh. I loathe her and her ilk.

I don't understand this comment. What do you think I paid her for? It WAS a TEAM-developed document, but she knew much more about how to write a good IEP than both the school and us. She made major improvements to the document we gave her, and we all accepted most of her changes. That's neither illegal or immoral. The advocate is also a member of the team.
