Is this a stim? What is it?

He has PANDAS. Mine did exactly the same things. Woke up one morning repeating a phrase over and over. It was the tip of the iceberg.

Try to find a ped who is open to PANDAS.

He is such a huge sensory seeker - can this be a sensory seeking thing? He laughs after he does it. Argh. I just don't know.

I guarantee you it's PANDAS.

Well I'm calling the dev ped Monday. We can see her next week I hope. This just has to get better. I can deal with any kind of delay but this behavior stuff, which of course I know is also a delay, I am having such a hard time with. Not the stim stuff, but all of the defiance etc. we used to think he had a receptive speech delay but just reevaluated and he does not. His speech is actually fine. So it's not a communication issue, which is what I had assumed for so long.

When mine had PANDAS it started out as repeating a phrase over and over but also began to include all kinds of crazy behavior. thank God we figured out what it was. Please consider PANDAS -- not many doctors are aware of it yet but no doubt it will be just like any other diagnosis in a few years, and many people will wish their DC had been diagnosed earlier.
