Do men have an easier time finding new partners post a breakup/divorce?

Divorced woman with no kids. No problems whatsoever finding partners. I was asked out within a month of separating...after divorce I dated three people, and I've been settled down with the third for two years now. He's also way hotter than my ex husband and 10 years younger than me.

My best friend just got divorced. My honest assessment is he is average looking at best, although he is in good shape. Decent personality, not a life of the party type, but friendly and genuine and sincere. He is very financially successful, big-time commercial banker. But not the kind that flaunts it. 50 years old, looks great for 50.

He has so many women and so many options it is unbelievable. So many people trying to set him up with very attractive, accomplished women. It's crazy. Even he thinks it's crazy.

Yes. Even the worst specimens seem to be snatched right up.
Really, as we age men die at greater rates so there are just fewer of them.

Proof positive that a woman, even with kids can find someone at the drop of a hat.

I think it solely depends on how attractive you are. At least at the initial dating stage. I know a widow with three children who has no shortage of willing and able men to step in, because she is very pretty. At the same time, there are tons of boys and girls who have a tough time finding someone, because their looks are just meh. It's really that simple.
