When you just need someone to talk to

I use playlists as well. Just checked mine for January: "Anthem" by Alana Yorke, "The great escape" Patrick Watson, "Places you will go" Patrick Watson - love this song. It's all about finding yourself.

Cute

Loved that - is that couple around here? I think Inn out burger is here and they had safeway brand maple syrup and soda.

That was hilarious! I don't normally enjoy funny cat pictures, but I laughed at that one.

In n Out is a west coast chain - CA, NV, etc.

I watch funny shows. This one is hilarious: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catastrophe_(2015_TV_series)

I find that I get sad and lonely when my life does not include friends and some spiritual component. Doesn't have to be church but church can be a great place to find friends and
comfort.
Spouse, kids and work are central of course but most of us need more.
I don't think you will find what you need on the internet but it's late so it will have to do for now.

I know what you mean. I've recently experienced a spiritual awakening and I'm not even religious. I find myself seeking to understand and experience a higher way of being. I know, sounds loonie.

Just lonely. No local friends and feeling more and more estranged from Facebook friends. My husband has been TDY for two weeks and when I made the mistake of saying something about it, a cowkrer nastily said, "at least it isn't 15 months.". No, but I've done that too.

If you had a friend who lived close by, OP, what would you want to talk about? What would you share? Is there an activity you would want to do with this friend?

Hope you're feeling better. As Fraulein Maria said "....wait for the sun to come out, it always does."

Journal. I'm blessed with a very supportive and small group of online mom friends. We've all been together for 8 years or longer. I have a couple close friends I can call but they don't have children. But on days, like Monday this week, when I had some pretty hard realizations about my son's ADHD, I journal it. I do it in a Word doc because typing is easier for me than writing, but it's what works. It's very therapeutic.
