NCS vs Stone Ridge for 9th grade

SR has gotten in trouble with the diocese for not being conservative enough in the past. The RSCJs are not unlike the Jesuits.

I highly doubt 10:23 since SR has NOTHING to do with the archdiocese. SR receives NO money as it is an INDEPENDENT school.

Doubt all you want, but the US administration was asked not to have a speaker come in the 90s when I was a student because they were pushing the envelope just a bit too far. It is an independent school, but the Sacred Heart order is still affiliated with the church.

That said, it is probably the most liberal independent Catholic you'll find around here and it's a good place. They do stress the five goals in any number of ways and I can't recommend the larger Sacred Heart community enough, as an adult.

Who was the speaker? I was also an US student in the 90s and I don't recall this.

The way that schools did this in the 80's was they would bring up these subjects during literally the last week of senior years. That's when the speakers were brought in and the films shown. Seems like they were running from possible parental irritation though, not so much the archdiocese.
