DW lapsed into that a few years ago. She works in advertising/marketing and the agency would have a lot of 20-something women, and I think that speech rubbed off on her. It was annoying but I said nothing and it eventually went away.

I can't imagine listing to a grown man speak that way. Not sure it's worth dumping a guy over but I can see where it'd be irritation.
