OP, I posted at 9:00 above about NAMI. I just read your update and I'm so, so sorry for you and for your sister. This is the toughest form of delusion, I think -- the one where any kind of medical professional is evil, so the sick person won't ever get treatment. I don't have anything else to offer except that maybe a local NAMI support group might have people in it whose relatives also have this kind of delusion and maybe they can recommend what else to say to her.
It sounds like you're doing well to stay calm and tell her you empathize with how scary this must be for her -- and it's a good thing that she does call you daily and hasn't decided you, too, are against her. You know she's there each day, and you know she will at least reach out to speak with you. Keep doing what you're doing. Look after yourself. |
