Lots of cool trips in land too. Looks like they got a lot of snow....so it's cool to be on the beach one day and the mountains and snow the next. The water is cold at the beach....may get boring for a whole week.

Definitely the dunes. Also, jet boating on the rogue river was amazing.

OP, are you looking for destinations and things to do that are specifically on or near the coast? Or just anywhere in Oregon?

OP here, our VRBO is in Cannon Beach so that will be our home base, but I am open to any suggestions within driving distance.

OP here just back to say thanks for the great tips. Our family just returned from a fantastic week on the Oregon coast. It was a great escape from the DC heat and I would definitely like to go back soon! A week almost wasn't enough. Thanks, everyone!
