Atlanta - Relocating. Need advice

| We moved to the Atlanta area last spring so we are still learning about the area. We live in Alpharetta which seems to be one of the most family friendly locations here. Great schools, great neighborhoods, shopping, restaurants, tons of kid activities etc. We LOVE it!!!. However, my husband works downtown and the commute is a NIGHTMARE. So we are looking to possibly move closer in possibly to Roswell, or Sandy Springs (good thing we are just renting). It seems that the closer in you move the more you compromise on schools. If you have kids I would not recommend living inside the perimeter unless you can afford private schools. This is my recommendation based on 9 months of living here. | OP here. We will not need schools as kids are at and near college age. I believe he will be in Buckhead, possibly downtown. We will be looking for a 5 br home. Maybe a gated community, that kind of feel. |

| I'm the PP who recently moved to Atlanta. In your situation I would look at living in Buckhead. It's a fantastic area and you wouldn't have to deal with traffic |

I'm the Oak Grove PP. My friends in Oak Grove moved from VH! They loved it there and only moved BC their oldest was starting school. They are relatively close to each other. |
