Is something wrong or am I paranoid?

Pull your child out. Don't wait for something else to happen.

At my friend's kids' daycare, the director found one of the kids in a hallway by himself. The director took the kid to the office and waited to see how long it was until the teacher noticed and went looking for the kid. It was about 10 minutes until the teacher can to the office and found the boy. The teacher was fired on the spot and parents were notified of the incident with a ton of apologies and changes in procedures to ensure it would never happen again.
I just relay that to you to illustrate how big of a deal it is for a little kid to be left alone in a daycare setting.
