Anyone fly with their dog?

I assume you are referencing having dogs in the cabin and this just isn't the case for every dog. I think you definitely need to know your dog's temperament as not all dogs are good flyers; however, my dog (12 lbs terrier mix) is an excellent flyer. She sleeps the entire time (not drugged) and every single time we get off the plane everyone always says "Oh wow, I didn't even know there was a dog on the flight!"

You're fooling yourself. Leave your fur baby home. And don't bring it to the grocery store either.

OP please don't do this. there is a very good chance your dog will die. alone. in a terrifying environment. in a painful and scary way.

I'm not trying to be dramatic, but it CAN happen.

I'm not op, but I read this thread because I had never thought about this and was curious about the responses. After reading this, I will never transport our dog via plane (she is 50lbs and thus would have to go cargo instead of in the cabin - that seems reserved for small dogs only). I can't believe it is legal to transport a pet in cargo given the described situations.

Thanks for the responses - I think we are going to drive him.
