I am this PP. Just thought of one - I could be a travel writer! (Never mind that I don't have a writing background!) |
| Cancer researcher. Love my job. |
TV critic. My dream job
|
| Best selling author as well. |
| Mobile dentist- I diagnose/provide care right in the patient's home, (mainly kids, but sometimes the whole family) the parent is happy, kids are happy, and it's so much fun! |
| Couples counselor. I would probably see fewer clients, but I would keep doing this work. |

My DH doesn't make a million but makes plenty to support us - I work because I like it and it helps us meet retirement and college fund goals more. Also it isn't that much of a hassle with both of us having flexible jobs with good work life balance for the most part.
I work in policy - and do a lot of writing up data analysis to highlight trends and make predictions in my area of focus. But my dream job would probably be like a Jillian Michaels type job - helping people eat healthier and work out etc. Also would love to be a famous journalist a la Katie Couric or Diane Sawyer. |
| Military Officer. With so few women staying and advancing to higher ranks, it's important to have a variety of perspectives in leadership roles. |
|
nurse. I love what I do.
Married to a doctor. He doesn't make a million or anywhere close but we could live off his salary. |
| I'm a policy advisor in the government and I don't absolutely have to work but I do anyway because I worked hard for my degrees and I like my job, I like interacting with people during the day, and I like making money. |
| My husband doesn't technically have to work, I guess, as we could live off of my money, but he loves what he does. He's an aerospace engineer. |

Another lawyer here who loves her job (there are some of us!). I work for the government and I am grateful every day, having previously worked for a big law firm.
However, if we won the lottery or DH suddenly started making a million bucks (unlikely as he too is a government lawyer) I would seriously consider working for a legal aid organization. I would not love it the way I do my current job -- I am an appellate litigator and I love writing so it's perfect for me -- but I strongly feel that we don't have enough low-cost or pro bono legal representation so if I were in a financial position where I could do that, I would consider it. I would also love to do appellate work for the ACLU but that is super competitive so I wouldn't have a chance of being hired, and it would also likely require more time than I am willing to give. |
| I'm a microbiologist. I'm still working and DH is pushing those salary limits. |
|
Actress/ film director/ musician.
I wish! |
This! My DH briefly considered a military career, but found his niche in the government and indeed has a dream job. |
