Reactions from men when you tell them you're pregnant?

Awkward silence.
The unmarried ones said : "Oh right."
The very few who were married with children smiled and said: "That's good news."

That was in grad school, when I was working in a science field with mostly foreign, conservative young men from India and China. I understood then that it probably wasn't in their culture to exhibit unbridled joy at the fact that their married co-worker was pregnant

Except I'm pretty sure he did NOT move to Italy. Anyway he was more like a fwb. At first he said he was moving to Chicago and then it became Italy 3 months after.
