I don't understand why she doesn't go back and explain how she made that decision. At the beginning it looked like PG county may have been ready to foot the bill for private placement.

Doesn't matter if none of the schools who take public placements are a good fit though.

We did that and they did a shitty job. Had to get it redone--$$$. The Speech-language testing was fine, but the academic testing was terrible.

I don't think other school districts are much better. Her best option was to go private no matter where they live.

Much easier to afford private with PG county housing prices, too. Seriously.

and I do think her story/dilemma is common across the country.
