16:05, stop being a douche. Your familiarity with one downtown hotel does not make you superior.
OP, there's great sushi at Sushi Taro, but it's not walking distance from your hotel, it's a short cab ride away. 17th & P. I personally am not a huge fan of Kaz, I find it a little precious, but others like it a lot. It's a short hike from your hotel, but the hike is around the White House, so it's pretty. Other than sushi, there's Central, the Partisan, Rasika, Tony & Joe's .... |
It certainly makes me superior to passive-aggressive, Crystal City bitch 16:24, right, hon? |
Closed. Last day of operation was NYE. |

Casa Luca.
Joe's Stone Crab. Tosca. Woodward Table. Pennsylvania 6. Occidental. Bibiana. |
That's interesting. When we ate there this summer the staff mentioned that they were all new. Was that turnover the sign of problems, or were there problems (or plans to close) first and the old hands bailed? |

The building is being re-developed. I believe Chef Geoffs filed a lawsuit but was unsuccessful. http://www.bizjournals.com/washington/blog/top-shelf/2015/11/chef-geoffs-sets-closing-date-downtown-rockville.html |
That's cute that you think the only other JW is in CC. Some of you really do live in a bubble. |
Oops, meant Joe's Seafood, Steakhouse, & Stone Crabs -- 15th & Penn. (Tony & Joe's is at Georgetown/Washington Harbor.) |
