My daughter is 10.5 and still loves playing with her American Girl dolls - she asked for a bunch of accessories for Christmas, along with Uggs and some other non-toy items. She's at a crossroads, I think.

Fyi she LOOOVED Gilligan's Island so you can try that DVD set of all three seasons (which has a lot of episodes per season), also on amazon.com. Thanks to DCUM I have a boxed set of Laverne & Shirley under the tree.

Also she got a fishing line kite from thegrommet.com and has been using it every day (we are in Southern California, but right now your weather is better than ours). It's fun--you cast it like a fishing rod, and reel it in.
