I actually love my job. Do I love it more than my life, of course not. But I spend a lot of time and energy in my work, and, I am very thankful it interests me and challenges me. I care about my results simply from a personal pride standpoint. Reading some of the above posts, I really couldn't imagine doing a job that I hated, or that I didn't believe in. That must be brutal.
As for the lawyer...you didn't see this coming? |

I care about my work installing renewable energy systems. My employer has managed to grind away pretty much all of my positive feelings about my "job". Disrespecting my time, low and erratic pay.
Can't believe how much more I looked forward to going into work when I was an office drone working on generic corporate crap. |
| I used to care, but our current leadership is completely inefficient and doesn’t allow my team to do our best work. I like my company and the products and services we provide, but the day-to-day is demoralizing. |
I'm in sales and I deeply care that my company does well. Every decision I make I do it to better my company. We are small and have experienced explosive growth. I'd say most people are excited to work here. We're 50 people and in 7 years, we've had 2 leave, 2 fired. |
| People who are just there for a paycheck are in the wrong job. Work should not be your life. I've NEVER work on the weekends, but I give 100% and I care when I am there. |
| I love my job. It's a big part of who I am and I look forward to going to work everyday. |

Meh. I care about parts of it, not about other parts. If I was independently wealthy this is not what I would be doing, but I like it just enough, and have enough sense of pride and duty, that I do a pretty good job. I mean, I take it seriously. I think most people believe I care more than I do! And honestly I do feel lucky to have my job. In many ways it is a great job, with lots of flexibility and autonomy, and it is sort of impossible to separate out the parts that I do like from the parts than I don't like. But sometimes I am going through the motions.

| I care about my work. I am a school principal and my staff, students, and families are important to me. My job is full of stress and responsibility and can require managing a lot of conflict from time to time. I don't get a lot of thanks on a daily basis, but when I do get a compliment or an appreciative comment from a staff member or parent - it means a lot to me. And the hugs and high fives of the kids can keep me going when things are otherwise challenging. |
| Millennials don't giva fuq cause they have tons of student debt the next decade will be interesting |
| I hate my job. Demoralizing, never see my boss and no one talks to each other. |
| I care about my work a lot. I am a researcher in a public health field. I enjoy work, and it is for a greater good. |

DH hates his job as a fed lawyer.
I love my job as SAHM! |
I would say that 3/4 of feds hate their jobs. Look at the survey results. Only senior managers seem to love their jobs. To me it's 90% culture for why I hate it. |
| I don't give a f**k either. Used to work hard but don't anymore. 35 hours a week and I am done. |
| Love my job. I am a teacher. |
