Can't know our list order until SSMA and Breakthrough announce their locations. A reasonable commute is a high priority for us.

Hi there PP:
Terrific to see Hearst on your list for 3rd grade next year. The current 2nd grade class at Hearst is a great group of kids, very involved families. We would love to have you join us!

That sounds awesome. We have been trying for Hearst for a few years now. We share at a charter that we absolutely love but with plans of sending DC to Deal for middle I think we may want to have her be around cohort for what will be a larger cohort.

OP here, not a troll post - I'm just curious. I am applying to PK3 but I'm all over the place and hope to be able to edit rankings and things as I attend open houses. Right now I have things in this order:

Creative Minds International PCS
Mundo Verde Bilingual PCS
Inspired Teaching Demonstration PCS
Washington Yu Ying PCS
Oyster-Adams Bilingual School (Oyster)
AppleTree Early Learning PCS – Columbia Heights
Two Rivers PCS at 4th Street
Bridges PCS
School-Within-School
Lee Montessori PCS
Marie Reed Dual Language

It looks like 3000 other people submitted their rankings already? Sheesh.

Oyster doesn't have PK3.

You don't say where you live, but please make sure to do some test drives for these schools. The commute could be a nightmare. Also, what grade is this for? If it's PK3/4 you might want to stick an Appletree towards the bottom as a safety. There's no chance getting in OOB at some of these schools for ECE.

Interesting list for PK3. Where does your IB school rank? I was told at Edfest by other parents I should probably stay away from the area schools and stick to charters because most of the PK3/4 slots will go to IB kids, whereas charters usually just have the sibling/staff preferences (vice proximity).

You live in CH but would be willing to commute to Shepherd? Maybe you commute that way, either way I'm a big fan of Shepherd and happy to see its getting love. Curious, why didn't you add ITS? It seems like a great school and located between MV and CMI from you.

+1

Ross, Brent, and Hyde can't even accommodate all IB kids for PreK-3
