How much movement is there from the waitlist?

No one in my child's middle school got a letter in the mail. They were distributed yesterday at the end of the school day (in envelopes). My child was accepted but his friend was waitlisted.

That's weird. Everyone I know got letters. I don't really know how much movement to expect but most kids I know hedged their bets by applying to several programs and/or some privates as well. Even though ERHS is first choice for many, a lot are also considering other options, so I'd guess there will be some but not a lot of movement.
