As it can spread and is contagious, her doctor recommended treatment and it took 12 excruciating weeks to go away – and I had to resort to using treatments I heard from other moms, because the way the doctor suggested would have taken even longer (I conferred with the doctor before I went ahead with the other treatments though). It truly sucked, but my daughter was lucky it didn't spread and didn't leave a scar. The doctor was pretty convinced it came from the towels from the lodge, and no one else in our family contracted it, and she was the only one who went on the trip.
Do you mind sharing the "other" method you used? And I'm actually a new poster in this thread who is VERY grateful for your post - my DC has been having a bump since August (not from GWL but most likely from a pool) and both her pediatrician and a dermatologist didn't think it was anything. We are going for a third opinion next week but after reading on molluscum after learning about it from your post I'm inclined to think that it must be it.
Thank you for sharing and thank you in advance - it is indeed curious how sometimes one can find useful info in a topic on a different issue altogether (I posted here rather than in health since it is more likely that the PP will see it here rather than in Health forum)
