Is this my favorite poster again? The one who makes up elaborate and hilarious stories about people based on their kids' names?

As for the house, well - you gotta get yourself some marble columns! But sometimes, just one will do.

I hadn't made that connection---but, if so, the poster is incredibly smart and talented! Love the writing style!

wow, this is awful.

And for the person feeling sorry for the house or the owners... it's a $1.8M house. Nobody has any sympathy for anyone with a $1.8M house. If someone buys it, I'm sure they give two sh*ts about what anonymous posters think.

But man, this is ugly. There's just too much going on in almost every room. Even the crown molding is way too busy.
Anonymous
yep, that's pretty hideous.
Anonymous
the house would be ok if they got rid of that horrible crown molding, they should've just torn it down

That's a really small kitchen for an almost-5000 sq ft house. Coupled with the uggo factor, it's a pass from me (LOL, as if I had 1.8 mil lying around, though...sigh!)

I have a proposal:

Any OPs who come here just to critique others' homes or decor have to include photos of their own homes and how much they spent.

Click on the street view- you can see what the old house used to look like...

Also, there is too much gray. Too many sellers go overboard on the gray.

Just quoting the real estate description.

Speaking of the real estate description, there are a LOT of "steps" from that house to downtown Bethesda. Two miles of "steps."

Just steps in from Old Georgetown Road. I drove by the other day but had no idea of the pricing--wow!

And still went for $680,000. !! We're up Old Georgetown past 495 and I would love to be in this neighborhood, but we're priced out. I can't believe that that tiny house sold as a tear down for $680,000. Well, I can believe it, just don't want to.

They did the build around the foundation of the old shit box, so who knows if they even replaced the water main and sewer lines

From the MC permitting database, looks like "Work Type Add Single Family Dwelling."
