| I use wipes on my 3yo because I think it's cleaner. I throw them in a Washington post newspaper bag and then throw that in the trash. Doing flush them. |
| Don't not doing |
| NP here. this thread makes me feel better. my DD is 6 and it's a negotiation each time...she's capable but hates doing it (as do I!) |

I still have to help my 4 yo... When she claims to have wiped well, she ends up with a diaper-like rash. Gross.
My "baby" is 22 months, so it sounds like we have years ahead of us. Gotta tell you, I'd rather wipe my kids that deal with hangers on the dog's bum. That's really nasty. |

DD was 6.
DS.... 17 and still hit or miss. Sigh. |
| 5 -- well, basically the start of KG |

I was helping my 6yo son with #2 up till just a few months ago. However, when he had to run home to poop, we started training him to wipe. Now he happily poops whenever he needs to at school. However I do like to do a sanity check when he gets home just to make sure if I need to do any spot cleaning.
My 3yo girl has been wiping herself with #1 apparently for a while. I just didn't know it till I saw her hop on and do it at school. We usually wipe her at home. I'm still doing #2s cause the effort in wiping her trumps the extra cleanup if she makes a mess. We also use the baby wipes (tossed in trash). Usually 2 will do so it's not like a giant time suck or anything. |
Yeah, my five year old needs to be reminded every single time. She can do it but doesn't understand why it matters. It is hard to explain the concept of germs and general cleanliness to them at this point. |
Why do you know that? Anyway DD # was 5 DS was 3.5/ 4 DD#2 was 3ish we finally realized our mistakes with the first two and started teaching her to wipe when we started toilet training at 21 months. |
| At 2. |
Not this PP, but there are no secrets from the launderer. There have been a few times when I had to wonder if my DH even tried, but I guess that's for another forum...

I do this too! Definitely not flushing the wet wipes. The plumber would kill me. |
| 3 1/2, at first with wipes but then we learned that the flushable ones actually aren't, so she switched to tp. She asked for help, but we just encouraged her to take her time and she does fine. |
| DS is 13 and I am still finding track marks. There are also frequent "showering should optional except on school nights" and "why do I have to wear deodorant?" debates. Please tell me teenage boy personal hygiene improves when they get their first big crush. |
