I just realized, the less a school is talked about on this board, the better it probably is...

Well, congrats OP, you are now officially as obnoxious as all the people you are calling obnoxious!

Interesting..I'm obnoxious because I won't tell you what school, so you can bash it?!

This is truly hillarious!

Ridiculous! My child is at a top 3 school that is often discussed on here and I cringe at all of the posts about it. I wish people would stop posting so many threads about the school but there is nothing I can do about it. I am a normal nice mom and so is my kid and so are most of the moms/kids at our school. These stereotypes are silly and just broad generalizations. We are just doing the best we can as most parents are. I wish our school wasn't discussed so much - really!

You seem pretty happy to promote the "top 3" myth, though.

They just can't help themselves...typical.

My guess is St. Patrick's which is a TT school. I like TT because it is not limited to three and is subjective...

Some of the posters, like this one, are just trolls. OF COURSE they don't have kids at any of the schools they are bashing -- they are just out to get a rise out of the rest of us. The only problem is telling jerks like this person from people who really know a school -- but sometimes the writing, like this one, just gives away her trollishness.

Meh. Except that the message (this thread is awful - hardly an original opinion after all) isn't exactly trollish. I think she sounds more like she's aggravated to the point that she's losing her cool, but that doesn't make her a troll.

I've seen a few of these accusations lately and it's a little weird. For the record, just because someone disagrees with you or has a message you don't like doesn't mean they're a troll.

Could this be the immaturity referred to in the original message? What is 'trollishness' anyway??

If we heard our kids having this type of conversation, what would we say to them?

So-called troll here. My child DOES go to an elite top DC preschool. Hard to get into. Etc etc.

The fact is, not all of us care quite so much about all this crap! I didnt care that much when we applied and I dont now. I am not obsessing about elementary school years in advance. In fact, we are almost certain to be sending our son to Oyster for non-financial reasons.

If you fail to recognize why a poster may think some of these comments and threads are sad then you are deluded. Really, think about it. You wouldn't put your name on those threads would you? Would you really want others to know that you obsess over where your kids PRE-SCHOOL (!!!) fits in the status rankings!!!???

St. Pat's is not a top tier school. Not sure why you St. Pat's moms keep pretending like it is. Top tier schools are GDS, Sidwell, and Beauvoir/NCS/STA...

Top tier according to who??? A bunch of moms with nothing else to do but post that their kid's school is the one and only top tier, thus making it so?? Now I see what the OP was talking about...It may come as a shock, but DCUM does not determine who's top tier, & who isn't...BTW-I am not a St. Pat's parent.
