How are things going at Navy's AAP center?

My child is in 4th grade aap. It's fine. We were told the pbl type things are already incorporated into aap.
I think last year in third pbl did more fun projects, but I think aap had more solid instruction that my child needed with more structure.
Honestly, I think either is pretty good, neither program is great.

Do you feel like AAP there is not great yet because they are a new center and still building the team and the curriculum, or because school is more invested in PBL vs. AAP?
