My daughter asked me yesterday why Michael Jackson named one of his sons "Blanket"

Yeah, it's weird--his first son is Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., but called Prince. And then Price Michael II is called Blanket.

On his "Living with Michael Jackson" doc that eventually set up his second molestation trial, he said "blanket" was an expression in his family for comforting something, as in "We need to blanket this."

Pretty out there, but honestly, it's on par with some of the nuttier stuff from DCUM peeps. And I will say, if this were a normal family, I might find the "Blanket" nickname a little bit cute.

It's Prince Michael Joseph Jackson II, per Michael Jackson's will:

Blanket is a nickname. Many people have odd nicknames from childhood, so it isn't specific to MJ's eccentricities, as odd as he was.

He is worth over 500 million dollars and could easily have reminded his bullies at school of that fact everytime they bullied him.
Shit if I was worth that much I would walk around all day wrapped in a blanket and take pride in the name or nickname given to me by my father.

Blanket himself was comforting to other people as a baby, so they called him Blanket. That's what I remember MJ saying.

No. They're all crazy and speak of future problems. Hope some of the money is stashed away for that.
