What makes it look odd? Is it that you aren't used to white or that the sink, tile, tub/shower, paint colors, blend more with beige causing the white to stand out. Personally, I am SO ENVIOUS of your white toilet. I just moved to a house with all bisque toilets and changing them will be a big issue as the sink, tub, shower, and tile all blend. Very late 80s. White is much more current and standard. Beige/bisque is pretty dated. |
Anything BUT white is horrible. |
op here. thanks everyone for the feedback. i should have done more research and not let them pick one out for me. it might not just be the color because it also seems much largrr than the old one. they asked if i wanted "comfort height" and i said sure. msybe that is why it looks so weird to me!
note to self: next time do my own research! |
If you really hate it, a toilet is about $100 at Home Depot, the wax ring is $5, & it's wicked easy to change. |
Ewww. Wooden seats are nasty. |
Not as nasty as padded. Pardon me while I have flashbacks to grandma's house. *twitch* |
Is it possible you meant Almond? I think my toilets are more creamy colored than a true white. That might appear stark to me too, though certainly not a true beige. |
Maybe just color blind. |
Uh, white is normal, OP. I don't know anyone that has a toilet that is NOT white unless their house is from the 80s or earlier. |
Oh my god, you're an idiot. |
Comfort height is for old people who have trouble standing up after doing their business. That's why it looks like it belongs in a nursing home. The only thing worse than comfort height is an oblong seat specially designed for an American-sized butt.
Honestly, I think it might be worth finding out how much to shrink it down to normal size. |
One of my friends has a black toilet in her powder room. It freaks me out every time. I'm too chicken to ask if it was that way when they moved in or if she actually picked that color. |
