| When I took a class, the rare times the instructor was late, we just started without her. The first ten minutes are warm-ups anyway. |
+1 Start warming up without her. |
| OP here. In this particular class (Bodypump), it isn't possible to warm up without the instructor. The warm up is a part of the class. She goes through the entire routine. I'm just going to speak to the gym director. He can deal with it. I shouldn't have to. |
| OMG. I would totally say something. 10 minutes is a lot when it comes to a class. Especially when it is an early morning class that you get up at 4:30 for and then do not get the full benefit of the class. You have every right to expect the instructor to be on time. |
| Any update OP? |

All the people who are telling you to talk to the instructor are crazy. Of course you should talk to gym management. It's not like the OP is mad about the format of the class, which is something she could productively talk to the instructor about. It is a given that the instructor is supposed to be on time.
I take BodyPump too and this would also make me so mad! |
| I am a group exercise director and, personally, I would like to hear this information from the participant. Directors cannot be at every class and rely on members to provide constructive feedback. The instructor might have reasons why she consistently starts class late, but it is up to management to decide if they are valid reasons or not. It sounds like this class might need a new instructor or a new start time or the current instructor needs to be reminded of her responsibility to arrive early to each class. Good luck! |
