| Hahaha. Best f#@king thread of the day! If you find some I will buy them for you op. |
|
I swear giant in Arlington on wash Blvd has them ( or did for awhile). I bet a hardware store has something you can use.
I totally get buying them if you are not going to be near trees. It is hard carry a bunch of tree sticks and not poke yourself relentlessly. |
|
No sticks in a large open field? Was it cleared
by nuclear bomb? |
You could also find water. |
And rub 2 together and you'll have the fire. s'mores party at pp's house! |
| Just about every grocery store sells the wooden ones. I have long metal ones. Bought at Bed Bath and Beyond. |
| If your in Maryland. Just saw them at Harris Teeter in Rockville. They're in the back with the outdoor/grilling stuff. Next to the elevators. |
Target, Walmart, Dick's sporting goods. They will be in the camping section. Bamboo skewers won't work that well. They are too short and if your kids are roasting the marshmallows, they will need to be too close to the fire. |
Which, as PP noted, are not the best choice if your kid is going to be holding one end while the other is in the fire. |
Who ever heard of sticks in a field? I have only ever seen and heard of sticks in stores. |
Shhhhhhh dear, one must not interfere with natural selection |
You soak them in water first. |
PP with the forked stick here. Showed this thread to DH and he's totally setting up the fire pit now. We happen to have marshmallows on hand From last weeks roastings. Happy Friday everyone. |
She's talking about the METAL ones, Rose! The metal ones! |
| You pick a stick up off the ground. Do not cut a stick from a live tree. |
