Same here, PP. It had been such a rock during a difficult time. I don't know what happened, but it was a series of bad decisions.

NP. Yes, that was the one. They shut it down for at least half a year. I stopped checking in to see if it came back up. I got some good information on that board and I still wonder what happened to some of the women there.

Note: it's not anonymous. I think that makes people much nicer and more careful with responses. I also found it was less people on clomid and more going through ART (IVF, DE etc).

MENTS you get used to. There are just some days you don't want to read about another persons pregnancy or MC.

23:11 here. I actually don't mind the anonymity of this board. Sometimes you just want an honest opinion about something you're going through, not sunshine and rainbows. I think even though there is some nastiness here now and then, people are more honest, and thus more helpful.

Is it helpful? And how do you connect? I made some friends on RESOLVE early in the process, but haven't really delved back in much since my first IVF cycle. I decided to take a break from online stuff, and check in only on this board every other day or so now.

I agree with the other posters. Maybe it's just demographics of DC region but this DCUM board is a little, uh, smarter, than some of the other stuff out there, even if it's anonymous and the occasional meanie pops in.

Eh - I never liked the MENTS because it just highlighted whatever the subject matter was. Often the post had good information, and then there would be these giant MENTS -- which would draw your eye right to whatever it was that the MENTS was supposed to flag you not to read.
