15 year old DD shopping

Anonymous
My DD is 14. She's not super into shopping either, but when she goes to the mall with friends (which has only been a few times) - they mostly just hang out, try stuff on and model for each other, get Starbucks or some other snack, and maybe buy something little and unnecessary, like something from Bath & Body Works. My only advice would be to have fun

SOmetimes when I give advice to DD 13, I give it in a story about the "olden days."
"When I was a teenager and went to the mall with my friends, we used to X, Y and Z."

She seems more receptive to listening that way.
Sninky isn't it?

18??? I wonder how these "kids" will be able to function on their own once they leave for college.

Normally, that's in areas where there's a lot of peer pressure shoplifting.

Are you afraid her friends will make fun of her if you don't give her a few pointers first?

Then do so. Tell her what her size is. Should be enough, right?

OP here.
@bold, That is one of the concerns.

Then maybe instead of going shopping for new clothes she should be going shopping for new friends. My DD's friends all tease each other but nobody would ever dream of making fun of one of them.
