Chiropractors aren't medical doctors. Avoid.

I don't know why everyone on this board seems to think that chiros are quacks. Sure maybe some, but I for one have gotten incredible pain relief from chiropractic care. My hips were misaligned causing sciatic nerve pain. I've now been pain free for nearly ten years. I would seek out a chiro who specializes in pediactric care. If you're near Bethesda, I would recommend ChiroAid (http://chiroaid.com/mobile/index.php).

They don't go to medical school (you don't even need a completed bachelor's degree to get into chiropractor school), and I hope you are getting paid for the advertising.

I have scoliosis, discovered by my pediatrician when I was in middle school. I saw several orthopedists, and a podiatrist. A podiatrist will help with the gait and determine if your son would benefit from shoe inserts, etc.

OP here, thanks all for the recommendations. We are in close-in VA. I will look up all these suggestions, but if you have more for VA, please let me know!
