Yes, those schools are only affordable to students residing in their respective states. oOS tuition at WM is nearly the cost of Princeton.

Indeed. I went to Michigan in the mid 1990s. It was over $30K then. Looks like it is $43K now for out of state. Ouch. Great time and great education though.

We pay over $60k with room and board.

Exactly. My DC goes to one of those schools but has an SAT score far higher than their average. He simply felt the school was the right fit. And it was. Schools are about so much more than the scores of their students.

For Michigan OOS?

Ouch. I'm sure michigan is a decent enough school, but for 60k I would expecting much smaller student bodies and class sizes.
