Weird question about aftermath of cast removal

Anonymous
I got my cast the first day of November and got it taken off in the middle of December so about 8 weeks. After the cast on my arm was removed, my arm looked really skinny and swollen, but wasn’t hairy. The next day I wake up and my arm was hairy, I was reading on how hair growth is normal, but now almost March and my arm is still hairy!! Does that mean the hair is never going to fall or what?!

I decided to shave my hairy post cast hand (i broke my wrist but only shaved my hand??) it grew back. its been about 3 weeks since i go my cast off (2 weeks with the new hair ig) and it doesnt look like any of it is falling off. Did I screw up by shaving it and is it never gonna fall off?

I guess the body is stimulated to grow (new bone) and grows some hair also.

Thank you so much for this conversation!
I just got my cast off and I’m so tripped out by the texture and amount of hair on my arm. Totally different the the healthy arm!
Glad to know it’s temporary
Stay healthy my friends!!!!

Normal. The hair will slough off.

I have broke both of my arms but I have found that when I got my cast taken of my right arm the other day it was really dark in colour. I don’t remember this happening when I broke my left arm a few years ago. I am worried that my hair will stay that colour but I am just waiting for it to go back to its normal colour. If I doesn’t go back what should I do? Should I dye my arm hair to make it light again?

Son just had cast off, as we hopped in the car, he started rubbing his leg and heaps of his hair on his leg were falling out.
He wants to know if that's normal?
Thank you
