Tell me what you use to clean your wood floors - steamer mop?

Do you all live on your floors? I find that I have to sweet and mop daily, or they look grimy and have smudges.

Though perhaps, that speaks to the type of cleaner we're using (Bona)? If I used something else, maybe the footprints, smudges, etc., wouldn't show?

the best idea is not to wear shoes in the house. Do not use too much water. A damp mop with a weak solution of murphy's and and touch p with bonna is a good idea.

It isn't as wet as carpet wet vacuums. It is safe and thoroughly cleans without chemicals.

Our floor manufacturer, Teragren, specifically recommends against steam cleaning.

Would you use the steam cleaner on your wood furniture? If not, you shouldn't use it on your floors either.

Our flooring guy recommended vinegar and water - i mop with that and follow right behind with absorbent microfiber towels to immediately pick up any water. It takes a long time, so only do it once a week or so. In between, just use a dry Swiffer.
