I can't speak for college kids but HS kids with a little disposable income are going for the experience of inhaling their DR Pepper scent versus drinking it. I think the novelty factor is driving this. |
| It looks like there are a lot of food grade flavor liquids. I say yuck, but don't think it would be harmful occasionally. Unless there is a health risk then maybe a lesson in moderation is the solution. |
I wouldn't assume it's harmless to inhale something, just because it's a food-grade flavor. Remember the connection between the butter flavor for microwave popcorn and lung disease? It basically isn't a good idea to inhale anything into your lungs except air. |
Hookah and vaping can be pretty much the same thing. Lots of tobacco free / nicotine free fruit flavors to choose from. It's very common in the middle east and even England. |
Well that's fine. And if my kids choose to do that as adults what can I do about it? Nothing. But as teens - no way. |
| The nicotine is regulated so is not readily available to kids/teens. |
| Tell him vapers are annoying. |
Hookah uses tobacco. That's why I don't get the reference. |
