We are pretty much out of hope and out of money. We still have 4 more PGS tested embryos frozen and are now considering a gestational carrier. It 's very expensive and would involve taking a home equity loan for us to afford it. We're prepared to do that if this is truly the solution to building our family. But after all the hope and disappointment we've been through, I'm wondering if this is really a sure thing. For anyone out there who had used a carrier, can you reply to let me know if it worked and if so, after how many tries? I would also being interested in hearing from anyone who did not have success going this route. Thank you!
New poster here. After going through 8 IVFs (6 transfers), we tried transferring PGS normal embryos in 2 different surrogates. One of the surrogates was also a proven surrogate. Both GCs ended up with BFN. So yes, it's possible that PGS normal embryos might not work even in GC. There could be multiple reasons: (1) Not all PGS normal embryos are supposed to implant, they just have a better success rates and those 2 transferred were not meant to be, (2) Embryos were created using my eggs and husband's sperm. Although PGS normal, the egg or sperm or both could be of bad quality, (3) Just bad luck.
