Estrogen Priming Protocol

But before agreeing on this dosage, my RE warned me that I may not get as much M2 eggs as compared to the higher dose.
But, I'm at GW.

If you don't mind sharing, how many eggs/embryos did you have as a result of this?

I had 6 follicles retrieved (all M2) and 5 of them normally fertilized. All 5 are still dividing on Day3. They are all at 8-cell/even sized stage with 2 (no fragmentation-text book); 3 (very very very little fragmentation). Freeze all of them on Day3.

Forgot to add. I haven't transferred any of the frozen embryo so no answer to the outcome of this approach. I am gearing for my FET soon.

Those embryos sound really promising. Best of luck to you

Thanks for sharing! is 225 a total of Follistim+Menopur or just Follistim?

It was just 225/daily Gonal-F, no Menopur but I started taking microdose Ovidrel starting around day 6 or 7 of injection until told to stop. I was told this is to supplement LH for promoting healthy maturation of the follicles (Antagonist, in theory, prevents LH surge, so this is to counteract that Antagonist?).

I think microdose Ovidrel was used in place of Menopur.

Forgot to add. Microdose Ovidrel was like 10 units (0.1ml?) of injection, so it was like 225.1/daily?

OP here- has anyone heard or done the lupron stop protocol? I met with a new RE yesterday and he talked to me about the EPP and lupron stop protocol.

When I spoke with Dr Davis at Cornell, she mentioned that Dr. Toritoerllo favored a lupron protocol, although she said she didn't see any difference between this and the estrogen priming protocol. That's all I know.

Dr. Davis is a he.

Sorry, I got my clinics mixed up! Dr Dickens (a she) mentioned that Dr. Tortoriello favored the lupron protocol
